Where Christmas Magic Comes to Life

Admission to our Christmas Market on Saturday and Sunday is $5 + HST per person, per day, with children under 12 admitted free.

Our special Friday opening night, The First Spell of Christmas, is $25 + HST per person, with all ages welcome.

Friday admission includes a complimentary festive cocktail or mocktail, delicious Christmas nibbles and unlimited admission to the market on Saturday and Sunday.

We highly recommend booking your tickets online in advance to secure your preferred arrival time and enjoy a smoother entry to the Christmas Market.

Tickets on Saturday and Sunday will also be available at the gate, subject to availability. Please note that gate admission is cash only.

To ensure everyone enjoys a comfortable experience, visitor numbers are carefully managed, and guests with advance reservations receive priority entry during their selected arrival window.

The First Spell of Christmas opening night is limited to just 100 tickets, so we strongly recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Please arrive during the arrival window shown on your ticket.

For example, if you’ve reserved a ticket for arrival between 10 am and 11 am, you’re welcome to arrive at any time during that hour.

Once you’ve arrived, you’re welcome to stay as long as you like, exploring the market and enjoying the festivities at your leisure.

Friday’s special opening-night market closes at 8:30 pm, although The Thirsty Whippet Pub remains open until 10 pm.

For the first time, we’re opening our Christmas Market on Friday evening for a very special early shopping experience!

Join us on Friday, November 13, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and be among the first to discover our wonderful local artisans throughout the beautifully decorated Manor and Christmas Market tent.

Your $25 + HST ticket includes a complimentary festive cocktail or magical alcohol-free mocktail, delicious Christmas nibbles and unlimited admission throughout Saturday and Sunday.

And the magic doesn’t have to end when the shopping does! Our vendors will be open until 8:30 pm, while The Thirsty Whippet Pub will remain open until 10 pm.

All ages are welcome, with alcoholic beverages available only to guests aged 19 and over.

Regular Christmas Market admission is $5 + HST per person, per day, so a new ticket is required if you’d like to visit on both Saturday and Sunday.

However, guests attending The First Spell of Christmas on Friday receive unlimited complimentary admission on Saturday and Sunday, allowing you to return as often as you wish throughout the weekend.

Our Christmas Market takes place throughout the beautifully decorated rooms of our historic Georgian Manor and inside our festive Christmas Market tent, both filled with talented local artisans and enchanting Christmas treasures.

You’ll also find seasonal attractions and cosy gathering areas around the grounds.

We recommend dressing warmly and wearing comfortable footwear suitable for November weather, as you’ll be exploring both indoor and outdoor areas.

Please note that there is no visitor parking available on the Lady Smith Manor property during the Christmas Market.

Visitors may use permitted street parking in the surrounding areas of Dorchester. We kindly ask that you park responsibly, respect our neighbours’ driveways and avoid blocking roads or access points.

We are also exploring the possibility of providing a shuttle service from a designated parking area in Dorchester. If confirmed, full details of the parking location, shuttle arrangements and operating times will be announced before the event.

Our outdoor market areas and Christmas Market tent are wheelchair accessible.

As Lady Smith Manor is a historic Georgian property dating back to 1840, there are a few steps at the entrance, and unfortunately, we do not currently have a wheelchair ramp.

While the interior of the Manor and our accessible washrooms can accommodate wheelchair users, reaching these facilities requires navigating the entrance steps.

If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us before purchasing your tickets. We’ll be happy to discuss our facilities and help you plan your visit.

Absolutely! What’s Christmas without a few delicious treats?

Warm up with rich hot chocolate, spiced apple cider and a tempting selection of festive goodies while you explore the market.

Our very own Thirsty Whippet Pub will also be part of the festivities, offering a cosy place to relax, enjoy a drink and soak up the Christmas atmosphere.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase, with complimentary festive nibbles and a cocktail or mocktail included for guests attending The First Spell of Christmas on Friday evening.

We love our four-legged friends, and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you as you explore the Manor grounds!

However, dogs are not permitted inside Lady Smith Manor, with the exception of service animals.

We kindly ask that dogs remain on a leash at all times and that owners clean up after their pets.

Lady Smith Manor is a smoke-free property, and smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the premises, including the Manor, Christmas Market tent and grounds.

Absolutely! The School of Christmas Magic is included with your Christmas Market admission, at no additional charge.

Whether you’re exploring individually, as a couple or with a group of friends, you’re invited to enrol as a magical apprentice.

Follow mysterious clues, solve puzzles, complete photo challenges and discover hidden surprises throughout the market as you work towards graduation.

Successful apprentices will be entered into our prize draw and earn a place on our School of Christmas Magic Wall of Honour!

Some messages are simply too magical for ordinary mail!

Visit our enchanting self-service Owl Post Office, where you can put pen to parchment and write a heartfelt Christmas message to someone special, seal a letter to your future self or leave a wish upon our magical Christmas Wishing Tree.

A little old-fashioned Christmas magic for visitors of all ages!

Whether you arrive in wizarding robes, a magical hat, a character-inspired outfit or any other wizarding-themed costume, dressing up is very much encouraged.

You may even wish to enter our Wizarding Costume Competition for a chance to win a festive prize!
